Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali commented that all dilemmas have been resolved due to the improvement in the economic situation.
The Finance Minister said this in a pre-budget meeting with the Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) at the Secretariat on Sunday (March 31).
Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali said, due to the increase in remittance income and export income, the dollar crisis has been reduced a lot. In the open market, the price of the dollar has decreased from Tk. 125 to Tk. 115.
In the meeting, ERF President Refayet Ulla Mridha and General Secretary Abul Kashem presented several budget proposals. The Finance Minister assured to consider these proposals.
He said, all the dilemmas about the economic situation have passed. Those who thought that the country would be Sri Lanka, their idea have also been proved wrong.
