The price of gold has increased again in the country's market within a week. In this round, the price has been increased by Tk. 3 thousand 149 and the new price has been fixed at Tk. 1 lakh 33 thousand 551. This price is the highest in the history of the country.
Earlier, on September 14, gold prices were increased by a maximum of Tk. 3,581.
This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Saturday (September 21).
According to the notification, the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation. The new price will be effective from Sunday (September 22).
According to the new price, per bhari (11.664 grams) of 22 carat gold will cost Tk. 1 lakh 33 thousand 51. Apart from this, the price of gold has been set at Tk. 1 lakh 26 thousand 998 for 21 carat, Tk. 1 lakh 8 thousand 860 taka for 18 carat and Tk. 89 thousand 218 for traditional gold.
