A case was filed against businessman Nasiruddin Mahmud with Savar Police Station through Rupnagar Police Station in connection with the attempt to rape and murder of actress Pori Moni.
Sub-inspector Farooq of Rupnagar Police Station said Pori Moni filed the case on Monday morning (June 14).
Earlier on Sunday, Pori Moni brought the allegations in a Facebook post without naming the suspect and sought justice from the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina terming her as mother.
Hours later, she held a press conference and named Nasiruddin Mahmud as her attacker.
Nasir assaulted her at the club in Dhaka’s Uttara four days ago, the actress alleged.
