Though half a month after taking power elapsed, the Taliban have not yet been able to form a government in Afghanistan. At first it was said that they would form a government only after the withdrawal of American troops. The Taliban said the government would be formed after Friday prayers (Friday, August 3) after US troops left Afghanistan on August 30. The Taliban did not announce a formal government on Saturday (August 4). As a result, the Taliban's delay in forming a government has come to the fore.

However, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said otherwise on the day of the formation of the new government in Afghanistan. In his words, "the Taliban want to form a government that will be internationally acceptable."

Meanwhile, there is a lot of speculation about the type and leadership of a possible Taliban government. Rumors are circulating that Gulbuddin Hekmatyar could be the Prime Minister of the Taliban-led government. In addition, Mullah Muhammad Yaqub, the son of Mullah Omar, the founder of the Taliban, could be a minister. The Taliban have also been known to place special emphasis on the Ministries of Interim Security, Defense, Finance and Information.

Everyone thinks that the Taliban will rule Afghanistan in the same way they ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001. It is also believed that Islamic values and principles will prevail over Western-style democracy.

However, this time they are showing more generosity and tolerance than before. Taliban sources have also assured other countries that Afghan soil will not be used for terrorist activities.

Critics say Afghan women are living in extreme fear despite Taliban authorities directing women to "work from home." Even about 250 female judges in Afghanistan want to leave the country for fear of the Taliban. For the first time in the city of Herat, women have protested in public against the Taliban regime.
