The swearing-in ceremony of the Taliban's interim government in Afghanistan has been postponed. China, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, Qatar, Russia, India and the United States were invited to the swearing-in ceremony.
However, the Russian news agency Tass reported that the date has been changed due to pressure from various quarters, including the Western world.
The Hindustan Times reported, citing sources that the decision may be taken to save time due to the country's cash shortage. However, it has also been said that the Taliban is being pressured by its allies against holding a swearing-in ceremony on 9/11.
Enamullah Samangani, a member of the Afghan government's information technology commission, tweeted that the inauguration of the new Afghan government had been canceled. The leadership of the Islamic Emirate has announced a part of the cabinet so that people are not confused which has already started working.
On Friday, the Kremlin confirmed that Russia would not take part in the swearing-in ceremony of the Taliban government in Afghanistan.
It is worth mentioning that on September 11, 2001, a group of terrorists attacked the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York with passenger planes. Thousands of innocent people lost their lives in that incident. The U.S. government has blamed the militant group Al Qaeda for the attack and called on the Taliban to hand over bin Laden to the United States.
But the Taliban leadership then announced that they would not hand over bin Laden to the United States because they had given him asylum. Then, on October 7, 2001, the United States invaded Afghanistan and occupied the country within a few days marking the fall of the Taliban government. Twenty years after that incident, the United States was ousted from Afghanistan on August 31 this year.
