Last year there was a new record in the concentration of greenhouse gases in the world. As a result, the world could not keep the temperature rise within reach. This was stated in a report by the United Nations Meteorological Organization (WMO) on Monday.

The report is aimed at avoiding dangerous levels of warming at a climate meeting in Glasgow, Scotland, on Sunday, according to Reuters.

According to the report, the level of carbon dioxide in the air has increased by 413 parts per 10 lakh in 2020. Although coronavirus temporarily reduced emissions during worldwide lockdowns last year, temperatures over the past decade have been higher than average over the past decade.

WMO Secretary-General Petrie Talas said the current rate of greenhouse gases would cause temperatures to rise many times beyond the limits of the 2015 Paris Agreement. The agreement recommended keeping the temperature within 1.5 degrees Celsius.

"We are still a long way from the goal," said Petrie Talas. We need to rethink our industry, energy and transportation systems and our way of life. "

Last minute preparations are underway to host a climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland. This could be the last chance in the world to limit global warming from 1.5 degrees Celsius to 2 degrees Celsius, as stipulated in the Paris Agreement.

Meanwhile, at a news conference on Monday about the upcoming climate conference, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said it was going to be a very difficult conference. "I'm very worried because it could be my fault that in the end the deal may not be as we need it to be," he said.

There are many problems in the world right now, one of which is the impact on global economic livelihoods and the future stability of the global financial system.

Earlier on Saturday, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince said the world's top oil exporters wanted to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to "zero" by 2060. He said plans to reduce emissions would be doubled by 2030.

Developed countries are hopeful that by 2023, they will be able to provide 1 thousand crore dollars to the poorest countries affected by climate change, according to a government plan released in Ottawa, Canada.

Canada and Germany have a joint plan on how to reach this goal. It has been said that developed countries still have a lot to do. Their complaint failed to meet personal financing expectations.
