Dhaka: Republican Party candidate Donald Trump has won a landslide victory in the US presidential election. He has already crossed the magic figure of 270 Electoral College votes to enter the White House. Out of a total of 538 Electoral College votes, Trump has received 279 and Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris has received 223 votes.

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani said that he is looking forward to working with Trump again to "enhance regional and global security and stability."
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said he hoped Trump's return to the White House would help restore peace to the Middle East.

Government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani told reporters after an Iranian cabinet meeting that the US election would not affect Iranians' livelihoods.
"The US election is not really our business. Our policies are fixed and do not change based on individuals. We have made the necessary predictions before and people's livelihoods will not change," she said.
"Our position on the new US administration depends on its position and practical behavior towards our Palestinian people, their legitimate rights and their just cause," Hamas, the Palestinian independence movement, said in a statement.

In a post on social media, he said, “I believe ... in this new era that began with the election of the American people, more efforts will be made for a just world. I hope this victory will end the regional wars.”
Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated Trump, the Saudi state news agency reported. The king praised “the close ties between the two friendly countries and peoples, which we want to strengthen and develop in all areas.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on his historic victory for a second term.
In a post on social media, he said he looked forward to working closely with the incoming administration to further strengthen and expand Pakistan-US relations.
