On the ground, work on two newly added service lanes on the 4-lane Highway, several flyover pass bridges and land acquisition in the underpass area has stalled. As a result, transport drivers and locals are expressing concern over the completion of the ongoing development work of the highway project. At present, the work on the four lanes of the highway is almost completed, but there are still two service roads, three flyovers and an underpass. Once the work on the highway is completed, the people of 25 districts, including 22 districts of North Bengal, will get the benefits. Eid commuters will not have to get stuck in traffic.

Mubarak Hossain of Tarutia area of the highway said work on Flyover Bridge and service lane has started here but land acquisition work has not been completed. The compensation of the land owners were not given. Earlier, the locals had stopped work due to non-payment of land acquisition money.

Amit Kumar, director of the 4-lane project of the highway, said the work of the district administration for land acquisition of the highway has been slow. As a result, time is increasing at work. If the district administration had acquired the land in advance and handed over it to the authorities, there would have been no complication.

Tangail Deputy Commissioner. Ataul Gani said it took time to acquire the land due to the stagnation of the Corona period. However, the land of the project will be acquired very soon.
