The country's top multimedia news portal Barta24.com and 51 more online news portals have been allowed to register.
On Sunday (November 29) evening, the Ministry of Information released the list with the permission to register these online news portals.
A statement from the Ministry of Information said that 51 online news portals were initially allowed to register as part of the ongoing process of online news portal registration. These selected news portals have to complete the registration by submitting the prescribed fee within 20 working days.
In the first phase on July 30, 34 online news portals were allowed to register. Then on September 3, the government issued a notification allowing the online portals of 92 dailies in Dhaka metropolitan and divisional cities to register.
