BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has become free from corona. She became coronavirus 'negative' after 27 days of being infected with the virus.
A personal physician of the BNP chairperson told reporters that Khaleda Zia's corona was negative around 1:15 pm on Saturday (May 8). He said Khaleda Zia's corona has been tested twice before and the third one today.
Incidentally, Khaleda Zia gave samples for the test on April 11. Test results showed that she was infected with coronavirus that night. After 14 days, the sample was tested again on April 25. But she was then still positive.
Although Khaleda Zia tested positive for corona on April 25, she did not have any symptoms of corona. For this reason, she was taken to hospital and continued treatment.
AZM Zahid Hossain, vice-chairman of BNP, one of Khaleda Zia's personal physicians, said, "According to the international guideline for corona treatment, if a patient has no symptoms two weeks after corona diagnosis, it is assumed that no one will be infected with corona from her." That is why Khaleda Zia is being treated as a 'non-covid' patient at Ever Care Hospital in the capital.
