Police arrested 61 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Friday (June 18).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am on Thursday to Friday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 3,218 pieces of yaba, 548 gram heroine, 36.21 kg hemp and 4 cann bear were seized from their possessions.
Forty two cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
