Police arrested 26 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Thursday (July 1).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Wednesday to Thursday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 6,893 pieces of yaba, 50 gram heroine and 100 gram hemp, 96 canns bear and 300 gram ice were seized from their possessions.
Twenty two cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
