Government decides mode of mass vaccination at the union level

The government plans to launch a massive vaccination campaign to deal with the corona situation. Vaccines will be distributed from the union level across the country from Saturday, August 7. Preference will be given to men and women above 50 years. The government has set a target of providing one crore doses of vaccine in the first week of the vaccination program. For this, plans have been taken at the level of each city corporation, pourashava, upazilla and union.

Under this scheme, vaccination will be provided 4 days a week in villages, 6 days a week in city corporations and 4 days a week in pourashavas. Vaccination will be conducted in the form of campaigns by the skilled manpower of existing EPIs across the country. At the union level, women over 50, men with their National Identity Card (NID) will actually be vaccinated. No prior registration is required. In addition, the security web portal / app will have ward based registration system in all city corporations, municipalities and rural areas.

Covid-19 vaccination plan: 1 crore people will be vaccinated in the first week by conducting vaccination activities in the form of campaigns across the country. The probable start time of the campaign is from August 7 August to August 12. Simultaneous vaccination activities will be started in urban and rural areas. Sinopharm vaccine will be provided in modern urban and rural areas. The first dose will be given while preserving the second dose of each vaccine.

Campaign Strategy: A meeting will be organized between the Health Minister and the Mayors of the City Corporations. Vaccination will be conducted in the form of campaigns by the skilled manpower of existing EPIs across the country. Vaccination sessions will be conducted according to the existing sub blocks at the upazilla level. Vaccination will be conducted in the form of campaign through excel sheet based registration and vaccination card will be issued. Ward based registration should be arranged in all city corporations, municipalities and rural areas in Surakkha web portal / apps.

The 6-day Covid 19 vaccination plan for the mass vaccination program starting from August 7:

There will be 13,800 wards in rural areas, with one team for vaccination in each ward. Vaccines will be given 4 days a week in villages, 7 days in city corporations and 4 days in pourashavas. A total of 433 wards of the city corporation, each ward will have 3 vaccination teams. The municipality will have a total of 1,054 ward vaccination teams in each ward.

Each ward of the city corporation will have a vaccination team at one permanent and two temporary centers. Upazilla and pourashavas will have one vaccination team in each ward. Covid-19 vaccination will be given for 4 days in upazillas and pourashavas.

How many vaccines are in stock and how many doses have been given till 5:30 pm on July 25? A total of 1 crore 4 lakh 45 thousand 200 doses of Covishield / AstraZeneca were found. Of this, 1 crore 2 lakh doses have been used. At present there are 2 lakh 45 thousand 200 doses centrally are in stock. Pfizer 1 lakh 620 doses were found, of which 1 lakh 620 doses were provided. There is no stock in the center. Moderna 55 lakh doses have been received, 8 lakh 50 thousand doses have been supplied, centrally stock has 48 lakh 50 thousand. Sinopharm 51 lakh doses were found, 51 lakh doses were supplied. The total stock of all vaccines is 48 lakh 95 thousand 200 doses centrally.

58 lakh 20 thousand 33 people took the first dose of AstraZeneca, 42 lakh 98 thousand 86 people took the second dose. A total of 1 crore 1 lakh 17 thousand 119 doses of AstraZeneca have been given. There are currently no AstraZeneca vaccines available in the field. The first dose of Sinopharm has been given as 1 lakh 53 thousand 588 doses. 7 thousand 591 people took the second dose. A total of 1 lakh 61 thousand 179 doses have been given. There are 49 lakh 37 thousand 721 doses in stock at the field level. Pfizer vaccine was given as the first dose to 50,223 people. The second dose was given to 28 people. A total of 50,511 doses of vaccine have been provided. Field stock of Pfizer is 50 thousand 109 doses. Moderna was given as the first dose to 3 lakh 63 thousand 904 people. The second dose was not given. 4 lakh 6 thousand 198 doses is in stock at the field level. The total stock of all vaccines in the field at present is 54 lakh 75 thousand 126 doses.
