The Bangladesh government has decided to launch limited flights to India under the 'Air Bubble' agreement. If India decides, flights between the two countries will start soon.
Foreign Ministry Secretary (East) Mashfi bint Shams confirmed the information to media on Wednesday (August 4th).
To reduce the prevalence of corona, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAA) on July 5 declared indefinite closure of air communication with six countries, including India.
Apart from India, the other countries are Botswana, Nepal, Mongolia, Namibia, Panama, South Africa and Tunisia.
