Hatirjheel will be closed from 4 am to 1 pm on Monday on the occasion of 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon 2022'. In the marathon, 200 local and foreign athletes will take part in the full marathon and half marathon.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said in a notification on Saturday evening. Everyone has been requested in the notification to avoid Hatirjheel area and follow the diversion.
How the diversion has been done: Vehicles that want to go to Gulshan, Banasree, Rampura and Badda via Hatirjheel with Rainbow Crossing will go by Maghbazar, Mouchak. Vehicles wishing to pass through Hatirjheel via Rampura Ulup and Islam Tower will go by Gulshan-Badda Link Road. Vehicles that want to go through Hatirjheel in different directions through Police Plaza will go by Badda Link Road through the road between Police Plaza and Shooting Club.
