Bangladesh has strongly condemned the drone strikes by Huthi militias in the United Arab Emirates. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in Musaffah, causing extensive damage to civilian property.

The foreign ministry said in a statement that the latest attack was "an intense form of aggression by Huthi militias that has escalated tensions in the region."

This is a repeat of the terrorist attack after the hijacking of the UAE-flagged cargo ship Rawabi off the coast of Al Hudayah Governorate on January 2.

The statement said that Bangladesh considers the recent drone strikes targeting civilian installations and killing of innocent civilians an illegal, cowardly act of terrorism and a clear violation of international law and civil code.

Noting that such irresponsible actions could escalate tensions in the region, Bangladesh has called on Huthi militias to refrain from repeating such illegal activities and deliberately escalating tensions.

Dhaka expresses its strong solidarity against any threat to the security and safety of the people of the United Arab Emirates and its brotherly people.

The statement further said that Bangladesh is firmly committed to all efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region.
