Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that if everything is imposed over the shoulders of the elite force RAB, then it is an injustice to them.

The minister was speaking to reporters after the eighth session of the third and final day of the Deputy Commissioners (DC) conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Thursday (January 20).

Asked about the letter from 12 international human rights organizations to ban the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) from the UN peacekeeping mission, the Home Minister said, "I have always said, if you look back, when RAB was created. Those who created RAB, now they dislike RAB, spreading all kinds of propaganda.

He said that they are not highlighting the good work that RAB is doing. They never mention the fact that the RAB is working against drugs, controlling adulteration, freeing bandits, taking action against extremists, they are always working to suppress militancy and terrorism. They talk about all kinds of human rights.

"We can say with a challenge that there is no country where encounters or similar incidents do not happen," he said. If anyone picks up a weapon towards the police; The police force does not remain silent then. That's when all these firing incidents took place. If all this is given to the elite force RAB, then I think it is an injustice to them.

Asked what can be said is facing of RAB political opposition, Asaduzzaman Khan said, "You will judge, I have left the question to you."
