Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has said that many investors are coming to Bangladesh by shifting industries from China and Vietnam.

He made the remarks while distributing CIP cards to commercially important people at Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Thursday (January 20).

Tipu Munshi said that investors are removing industries from China and Vietnam for various reasons. Many companies are coming to Bangladesh. We must seize this opportunity. They need to be drawn towards the country's investment.

"Our export target this year is 1 billion dollar," he said. The export target for 2024 has been set at 80 billion. We believe we can meet our targets. This will be possible under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister.

"I am considered more as a businessman than a minister," the minister said. Everyone says I am speaking on behalf of the business community. That's not right. If trade does not increase in the country's business, the country will not develop. Public-private partnership business makes a significant contribution to the country's economy. So we work in the interest of the country considering all aspects.

Tapan Kanti Ghosh, Senior Secretary at the commerce ministry, said the corona in the 2019-20 fiscal year had a negative impact on the country's economy. We have some problems. But now there is no such problem. This is an increase of 30 billion in just six months of the current fiscal year. In this way we will be able to face all the challenges.

FBCCI President Jasim Uddin said, "This year our dream Padma Bridge, Metrorail and Karnaphuli Tunnel will be opened." It is good news for us. We will become a developing country in 2026. Our dignity will increase. We will also face some challenges. We will be able to deal with them in an integrated manner. That is why we have to increase the quality of our products. Research needs to increase.
