Class IX student Arpita Das has been seriously ill for two months. The fever was not decreasing. After conducting tests to find the cause, it was found that Arpita had a tumor in her stomach. The doctors said that surgery should be done soon. That's why mother Sugandha Dash, working at Chattogram port hospital, started collecting money from here and there. She saved Tk. 50 thousand and kept it at home with great care. The girl who is waiting for surgery has been admitted to the hospital for some time.

But before that the fire came and took all of Sugandha's money, her daughter's surgery money. This middle-aged woman does not stop crying. Sitting in front of the burnt house, this woman was lamenting, 'Where will I go now, how will I get my daughter to undergo surgery.'

In 2017 Sugandha lost her husband Parimal Das. Since then, she did not think about her son and daughter. The eldest son is only 20 years old. He still doesn't do much though. And 16-year-old daughter Arpita is studying in Class IX at Patharghata Girls' High School. Arpita's family was running on the income of her mother, who worked on a daily basis at the port hospital. In the meantime, Arpita fell ill and the mother was in more trouble.

Two weeks ago, Arpita was admitted to the port hospital where her mother worked. After some more tests, Arpita was scheduled to undergo surgery. On Monday (April 15) afternoon, Suganda was doing both her work and taking care of her daughter at the hospital. At that time, she got news that her house and all the surrounding houses were burnt to ashes. Sugandha could not save her daughter in the hospital bed even if she came quickly. Before that, everything in the house was burnt, including Tk. 50,000 kept for her daughter's surgery.

On Monday afternoon, Sugandha Das was seen sitting in a burnt house in Ayakubnagar Laittagara area of Chattogram's Firingibazar area and crying. Sister came and tried to comfort her. But there was no stopping Sugandha's crying. She continued to say in a low voice, "She died, she died, I have nothing left."

87 rooms in this area were burnt in a sudden fire on Monday afternoon. Sugandha lived with her son and daughter in one of the burnt rooms.

Sugandha Das said, I was at Bandar Hospital at the time of the incident. On the one hand I had to see the girl admitted there; on the other hand I had to finish my work. After hearing the news of the fire, I left my daughter in the hospital and came home to see that everything I had built up bit by bit was ashes.

Sugandha is looking dark in the thought of how to get her daughter operated now. She said, 'how hard I saved Tk. 50 thousand for my daughter's surgery. The money was burnt in the fire. Now I don't know where to get money.

A fire not only took away all the fragrances. Arpita's life is also at risk!
