A Chinese citizen named Pung Zhuki (53), working engineer, was killed in a boiler explosion in a battery manufacturing factory in Gazipur. 5 more people were injured in this incident.
On receiving the information, members of Sarabo Fire Service of Kashimpur went to the spot and controlled the fire.
On Tuesday (April 16) around 7:30 in the evening, an explosion occurred in the boiler of a battery factory called Tong Ruida Industries in Kashimpur area of Gazipur metropolis.
According to sources, the boiler exploded when the battery factory was to be started on Tuesday evening. At that time, five people who were around the boiler were seriously injured. Later, the injured were immediately rescued and taken to the Sheikh Fazilatunnecha Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital and Nursing College for treatment, the Chinese citizen Pung Juki was declared dead by the doctor. The rest have been kept under treatment in that hospital.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Crime) Abu Torab Mohammad Shamsur Rahman confirmed the matter.
