Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury announced that the Ministry of Education decided to keep educational institutions open on Saturday to meet the shortage of education due to the heat wave. After Eid –ul- Azha it will be no more.
On Friday (May 24), he said this in response to a question from journalists who participated in the Communication Festival-24 of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism Alumni Association of Dhaka University at the Student-Teacher Center (TSC) of Dhaka University.
The Education Minister said, we actually have to specify some educational working days throughout the year to achieve learning results. Since many of us could not read, we are still open on Saturdays with expert opinions. But it is actually a temporary process. If we get a complete picture of that day, it may not be there after Eid-ul-Azha
He added, but now it appears that there is an outbreak of cyclones and if floods and many other challenges occur, schools will remain closed. If it is closed then it becomes much more difficult to achieve learning outcomes. Not expected to be open on Saturdays. Since some days are wasted. We hope it won't be.
