From St. Martin: Three Myanmar warships are clearly visible from Saint Martin Island. The ships have been anchored in the same place for a week. Local residents of Saint Martin said heavy ammunition and mortar shells were being fired from there targeting the Arakan Army, a rebel group in Myanmar. Therefore, the inhabitants of the island are terrified.

On Friday (June 14) morning, three Myanmar warships were seen anchored at the St. Martin jetty. However, it is not known whether it has entered the waters of Bangladesh.

A resident of Dailpara of St. Martin Island Hashim said, Myanmar's warships have never been seen so close before. These ships remain in our waters and continue to operate regularly for a few days. From these ships they fought the Arakan Army of Myanmar. Gunshots can be heard from the other side. But we are very afraid of that.

Rahmat Ullah, a shopkeeper in the market next to the St. Martin jetty, said, "The position of the ship is in our waters." I have not seen anything like this even on the way from Teknaf a few days ago. We are too scared. I'm afraid I don't know what will happen.

Aman Ullah said, they do not care about our country. Myanmar warships have entered our waters. People are most afraid of commuting. We hear gunshots every day. We appeal to the government to make proper arrangements for navigation. We Traveled in four trawlers yesterday with many risks. We do not want such movement.

Joynal Abedin, supervisor of beach workers managed by Cox's Bazar district administration, said Myanmar warships are visible from Saint Martin Island. We do not know whether it is located in the waters of Bangladesh. They can say Navy or Coast Guard. However, the district administration has been informed about the warship.

Meanwhile, the Teknaf-Saint Martin waterway has been closed for 9 days. There is a food crisis in Saint Martin. Most shops are closed. However, Additional District Magistrate Yamin Hossain said that food items are being sent by ship from Cox's Bazar district administration.
