At least 50 thousand tourists have gathered in Rangamati in the last few days. Hotels, motels and government rest houses were seen crowded with tourists. Tourist arrivals at Rangamati's famous hanging bridge, Paulwell Park, DC Bungalow area have increased manifold as compared to other days. Tourist spots in the city are now bustling with tourists. The arrival of tourists adds crores of rupees to the economy of Rangamati every day.
Tourists said that their thirst cannot be quenched by seeing such a form of nature. So when you get a holiday, you come to this magical city again and again. Tourists visiting Rangamati from different parts of the country said that they would not have understood how beautiful nature is without visiting Rangamati. I didn't know there are so many beautiful places in the country if I didn't come here. So I rushed to the hill town to refresh my mind. Rangamati feels very good. Meanwhile, Rangamati should be more developed for the development of tourism. Tourists also said that people will visit this city instead of traveling abroad.
Rangamati Tourism Corporation Manager Alok Bikas Chakma said that the number of tourists in Rangamati has increased during the summer holidays. Commenting that there has been an expected influx of tourists in the district in a few days, he said that the tourist motels are fully booked. It is very good that the number of tourists has increased.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Mohiul Islam, who is in charge of Tourist Police Rangamati Region, said that three levels of security measures have been taken for the overall safety of tourists coming to Rangamati. He said, there will be regular patrol duty of uniformed police in city-centred tourist spots, standing duty at Kaptai lake boat wharves and motor cycle duty from one spot to another.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation AKM Aftab Hossain Pramanik said that the tourism sector of Rangamati will be further developed. Recently he visited Rangamati and held a meeting with various stakeholders involved in the tourism sector of the region. He said that the Tourism Corporation is an institution built by the Father of the Nation, he does not want to neglect it. Hence Rangamati is a scenic district in the development of the tourism industry. The hanging bridge here will be modernized with the aim of renovation, construction of swimming pool, construction of public toilet and the tourism sector of the area will be poured.
