Deputy Director (Administration) and Private Secretary (Additional Duties) of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Amjad Hossain has been suspended on charges of corruption and harassment of employees.
Sunday (August 11) BTRC Director (Administration) Aftab Md. Rashedul Wadud informed the matter in the office order.
It is said that allegations of corruption have been raised against Amjad Hossain, Deputy Director (Administration) and Private Secretary (Additional Duties) of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission. He has committed corruption by joining dishonest syndicates. At the same time, the employees of the commission were also harassed at various times. In view of all this, he has been charged as per Rule-48 and Section 54 of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Employment Rules 2022 and Rule-3 (b)(d) (e) and Rule-12 (1) of Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 2018. He was suspended from the service of the commission.
The office order also said that he will get allowance as per rules while on suspension.
The office order also informed that this order issued with the approval of the authorities will be effective immediately.
