Adviser on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Asif Nazrul said that it is possible to bring everyone under the jurisdiction of the International Crimes Tribunal in the case of the July massacre (July 5 to August 5).
He made this comment at a press conference at the Secretariat on Wednesday (August 14).
He said, we have done small research; it is possible to judge the highest level people.
He also said that he decided to try the International Crimes Tribunal for the genocide in July. The 1973 Act was amended in 2009 and 2013. There is scope for prosecution under that Act.
In response to a question, he said that if those who have gone missing in the last 15 years also should file a case, there is an opportunity to bring them under the purview of crimes against humanity. We have not yet considered the matter state-wise, the matter will be considered.
