Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, said that the Interim government was brought to power by the students. As long as the Election Commission, Judiciary, Parliament, Constitution are not amended, this government will remain in power.
He said this at a view exchange meeting of student- citizens organized by anti-discrimination student movement at Khagrachari Town Hall on Monday (September 9) evening.
Stating that the students' movement is not over yet, Hasnat said, "A new struggle has begun for us." Even though Sheikh Hasina's government has resigned, her cronies are still roaming around you and me. We have to be aware of them. We have to continue our struggle until the reconstruction of Bangladesh.
Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah said the rulers do not want peace and stability in the country. Then people will start asking questions. Tk. 11 lakh crore have been smuggled abroad in the last 16 years. The rulers kept them busy by creating divisive sectarian conflicts within the nation. But we Bangladeshis have shown that we cannot create any kind of differences between us.
Khagrachari sent a message to those who are dreaming of coming to power and would be requested to remember the scene of Gonobhaban of August 5.
Chattogram coordinator Khan Talat Mahmud Rafi along with Chattogram and local leaders were present in the event.
