Dhaka: The Advisory Council of the Interim Government has approved the list of holidays for 2025. In this, next year's holy Eid-ul-Azha will be six -day and Eid-ul-Fitr will be a five-day public holiday. Apart from this, the main religious festival of Hindus, the autumn Durga Puja holiday, has been made for two days.
On Thursday (October 17) in the capital's Tejgaon chief adviser's office the advisory council meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
In the meeting, the holy Eid-ul-Adha and Eid-ul-Fitr have been made public holidays for six days and five days. Among them, two Eids are a day off. And the rest of the days before and after Eid will be holidays by executive order.
In addition, Vijay Dashami is a general holiday on the occasion of Durga Puja, the main religious festival of Hindus. Before that there will be a holiday on Navami day by executive order.
At present there are three days off for Eid and one day off for Puja. But this time the Puja holiday was extended by one day by executive order. #
