Rajshahi: Public Administration Reform Commission chief Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury said that if there is no reform at all levels of administration, there may be another revolution. Nothing much happened in this revolution, if there is to be another revolution, it will be even more terrible.

He said these things while briefing reporters after exchanging views with the administrators of 8 districts of the division and officials at various levels at the conference room of the Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner's Office on Tuesday (November 26) afternoon.

Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury said, "Now, people are not the same as before. When something happens somewhere, people immediately surround them. People's thoughts and waiting for the law will not work. I will have to take my own measures. We will have to try to ensure that people do not take the law into their own hands."

Regarding the allegations of inter-cadre discrimination by various cadre officials, the chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines said, "Cadre discrimination is not our subject. But that does not mean we will close our eyes and ears. When they discuss with us, we may be able to give some opinions to the government. The power is not ours; the power belongs to the state." If we use this power to show off, then the state will suffer.

On the question of political considerations in the promotion of government officials, the head of the Public Administration Reform Commission further said, this is not right. I have served under different governments. I have never compromised on anything. I have also become a secretary. If you think that I will become a secretary after entering the administration cadre that is a wrong idea. I have said no firmly. Even if you make me an OSD if necessary, I will not be able to compromise.

In the exchange of views, Public Administration Reform Commission member and Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Dr. Md. Mokhles Ur Rahman, Commission member and retired health cadre officer Professor Dr. Syeda Shahina Sobhan, student representative and Commission member Mehedi Hasan, Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, Rajshahi Range DIG Alamgir Rahman, RMP Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian, Rajshahi Police Superintendent Anisuzzaman, along with Deputy Commissioners of eight districts and officials from various government offices were present.
