Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has directed the concerned authorities to take immediate action to resolve the waterlogging problem of the city residents in Chattogram.
Dr. Yunus gave this instruction at a meeting of the Advisory Council on Thursday (January 9).
At a press conference about the meeting at the Foreign Service Academy, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said that waterlogging has become a regular problem in Chattogram city during the rainy season.
He said that the Chief Adviser has instructed the concerned authorities to resolve this waterlogging problem of the city as soon as possible.
The Press Secretary said that in today's meeting of the Advisory Council, the city's traffic congestion problem was also discussed in detail, in view of which quick steps will be visible to resolve traffic congestion in the coming days.
Adviser Mahfuz Alam and Deputy Press Secretaries to the Chief Adviser Abul Kalam Azad Majumder and Apurba Jahangir were present at the press conference.
