After falling ill 2 months 15 days back the Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Kader has attended his first office today.
He entered the secretariat at 10.15 a.m. He will attend a meeting on the ongoing development projects under his Ministry and will hold view exchange meeting with the journalists.
Senior Information officer of the Road Transport and Bridges ministry Abu Naser told Barta24.com, ‘the Minister has come to his office. He will hold meetings on the ongoing development projects of his ministry and will also exchange views with the journalists.’
After his arrival he was greeted by the officials of his ministry with floral wreaths. He signed some important files.
He was supposed to come to the ministry on last Thursday but due to pre-occupations with the party activists he could not make time. It was learnt later that he would attend his first office on Sunday.
However he will work with limited stress both in office and in party activities. It will take more one month time to resume work in full swing.
On Friday Obaidul Kader took part in party program in connection with the homecoming day of the party president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He went to Ganobhavan to express good wishes to the Prime Minister.
It may be mentioned here that Obaidul Kader was admitted to BSMMU Hospital on last March 3 after he developed cardiac problems. On March 4 he was flown to Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital. A bye- pass surgery was performed in his coronary on last March 20. Though he was released on last April 5 he stayed there for follow up treatment till May 15.
