Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the Special Security Force(SSF) assigned to provide the security to the VVIPs to be ready adapting the new technologies acquiring knowledge and necessary trainings.
Addressing the SSF officials she said, ‘You will be properly armed with modern weapons. You must be aware with the gradual innovation of new technologies. You must be aware about the new changing motives of crimes and you are to take necessary trainings to face it.’
On Saturday(June15) in the Durbar hall of the Officers’ Mess of SSF located in Tejgaon area of the capital the Prime Minister told these in connection with the 33rd founding anniversary of SSF.
Sheikh Hasina told that, ‘The new technologies are improving the life style of the people and also expediting the speed of the development of the country. On the other hand with the innovation of new technologies the various risks are also increasing. The types of terrorist activities are also gradually changing.’
The Prime Minister said, ‘The new technologies are helping the terrorists and militants creating new avenues to commit crimes.’
Pointing to the SSF and other law enforcing agencies the Prime Minister said, ‘We are to be skilled enough to tackle these new crimes. We are to be updated by our merit and trainings.’
At the beginning of the function the Director General of SSF Major General Md. Majibur Rahman gave the address of welcome.
In the function the chiefs of the three services, Prime Minister’s principal secretary Md. Nazibur Rahman, Press secretary Ihsanul Karim Helal, other senior military and civil officials and the members of SSF were present.
