Cabinet congratulates Hasina, Putul, Tulip

The Cabinet has congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her daughter Saima Wazed Hossain Putul and niece Tulip Rizwana Siddiq for the accolades they received from different organisations of the world.

The recognition came at a Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday (Oct 14), Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told journalists after the meeting.

Sheikh Hasina has earned praise and accolades from different countries for her success as the prime minister and her contributions to different fields, including peace and health.

Indian news agency News of India published a special report on Sept 9 on Sheikh Hasina’s leading Bangladesh for the third consecutive term and success in different fields.

She also received Dr Kalam Memorial International Excellence Award-2019 from APJ Kalam Memorial International and ‘Vaccine Hero’ award from Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI).

Besides, the prime minister recently won Champion of the Skill Development Award from UNICEF and Tagore Peace Award from an organisation in India.

Saima Wazed secured a place among the top 100 ‘Innovative Women Leaders in Global Mental Health’ in the world while Tulip Siddiq, a Bangladesh origin British MP, earned a spot among the most influential politicians of London on The Progress 1000 list of the Evening Standard.
