Keeping in mind the needs of the commuters from Bangladesh to Kolkata, the trip of Moyetree Express was increased on Dhaka-Kolkata route. The trip was increased to five days from four days in a week from today.
Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan inaugurated the new trip of Moyetree Express at Cantonment Railway Station in the capital on Tuesday (Feb. 11) morning.
It is learned that the train will operate on the Dhaka-Kolkata route five days a week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Moyetree Express will remain closed on every Monday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, the train will leave Dhaka Cantonment Station five days a week at 8.15 am and arrive at Kolkata at 4 pm.
Moyetree Express train has of the total 456 seats, 144 AC seats (cabin) and 312 AC chairs. AC cabin rent is Taka 3435 and AC chair rent is Taka 2455.
Bangladesh Railway Director General Md. Shamsuzzaman and others were present at the inauguration of the extra trip.
It is mentioned here that the Kolkata-bound Bandhan Express from Khulna used to run once a week. It will now run two days a week starting February 16.
