BNP has given a 48-hour ultimatum to the government demanding the release of party Chairperson Khaleda Zia. BNP has warned of strict agitation if the demands are not implemented within the stipulated period.
Secretary General of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir gave this ultimatum from the rally organized in Nayapaltan on Sunday (September 24) afternoon.
Khaleda Zia's physical condition is not good. She is not getting good treatment. Doctors said she needs to be taken outside for treatment very soon. Therefore, within the next 48 hours, Khaleda be released and send her abroad. If not, the people of this country will ban you (the government).
Mirza Fakhrul also commented that the Awami League government is trying to break the BNP.
The BNP Secretary General said US visa policy is insulting to the independent country. The Awami League government is responsible for this. Not only the United States, but the people of the country have also sanctioned the government.
To participate in the rally, activists started coming to Nayapaltan from different areas of the capital this afternoon. At that time, the leaders and activists of the party chanted various slogans demanding the release of Khaleda Zia and the resignation of the government.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present as the chief guest in the rally under the chairmanship of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP convener Abdus Salam and moderated by member secretary Aminul Haque.
