Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami commented that Bangladesh will have friends abroad but will not accept any hegemony. Shafiqur Rahman said, if someone comes to dominate, then the nation will respond accordingly.

He said these things in the speech as the chief guest at the function meeting organized by Brahmanbaria district Jamaat-e-Islami on Monday (October 15) at noon in Tengker par ground in the district town.

Amir of Jamaat said that Jamaat-e-Islami dreams of a Bangladesh where every citizen of the state will get his right. A society of non-violence and equality will be established in the bonds of social harmony. A society will be created where no litigant has to be harassed in the court premises. The judge shall be free from corruption and conduct judicial proceedings independently according to the law and conscience of the state.

Regarding the syndicate, he said that although the country became independent on August 5, it was not possible to break the syndicate of the previous government. They are sitting on the neck of the nation. If this syndicate is not broken, the people of the country will suffer more. The previous government wanted to take the mass movement in a different direction by canceling the registration of Jamaat-e-Islami. But Jamaat-e-Islami does not believe in the politics of revenge. But those who killed patriots and clerics should be prosecuted.

He appealed to the interim government and said that no friend of the dictatorial government should be at any level in the state. If they are, this country and government will fail. Failing the revolution will kill the dreams of the people.

Central Shura member and Amir of Brahmanbaria district Jamaat-e-Islam Muhammad Ghulam Farooq presided over the conference and Secretary Muhammad Mubarak Hossain moderated as special guests. Nazrul Islam Khadme, Deputy Ameer of Brahmanbaria district branch Syed Golam Sarwar, Deputy Ameer Kazi Md. Yakub Ali of Brahmanbaria district branch, District Islami Chhatra Shabir President Md.
