The BNP and like-minded parties are taking to the field with new programs soon, said Mustafa Jamal Haider, head of the 12-party alliance.
He said this after a meeting with the BNP on Saturday (January 11).
Mostafa Jamal said, we are taking to the field with new programs soon. We had a two-hour discussion on various issues including the existing political situation, problems and crises. The program will be announced in the next two-three days.
He said, "The victory of August 5 is going to be endangered in various ways today. We all realize that the anti-fascist fighting spirit of July-August is starting to disappear to some extent. There is a crack in our unity somewhere. We want to resolve it and in the next two-three days, we will announce the next program together, just like we did the movement in July-August, we were together, we were together. We will provide specific explanations about the problems prevailing in public life, the price hike and the fog related to the elections, the different talks and smokescreens.’
At that time, Nazrul Islam Khan said, ‘We have been able to achieve a part of one phase in the July-August movement. Another part is the restoration of democracy. We all know that the restoration of democracy means the establishment of democratic rule in the country. That rule is established through a national parliament election. We were waiting for that. But recently, various people have started talking about different things. Some other elections are being discussed. We think that is not consistent with the overall aspiration.’
