Dhaka, ( Newly appointed Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das met with Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen on Wednesday(April 3) at the later’s office.

The Indian high Commissioner was received by AK Abdul Momen at the foreign office where they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Foreign Ministry Information Officer Md. Touhidul Islam in a press release said that AK Momen mentioned that the relations between the two countries is historical. With the passage of time the relations have become more lasting due to mutual trust. Both the countries have so far solved land boundary dispute, sea boundary dispute and many other problems through discussion. It can be termed as model in the world.

Foreign Minister hoped that the relation will be further deeper and warm in future. He expected all round success of the newly appointed High Commissioner and assured all sorts of cooperation in discharging her duties here in Bangladesh.

Riva Ganguly handed over a letter of Indian Foreign Minister Shushama Sawraj to AK Momen. In the letter Shushama Sawraj described the relation between two countries as the ‘real golden era’ and said that ‘due to the statesmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this has become possible and Bangladesh –India partnership is gradually expanding fast.
