In a recent ripple across the global music scene, Punjabi music is making waves, permeating the high-profile Louis Vuitton show in Paris. American rapper, music mogul, and entrepreneur, Shawn Corey Carter, better known as Jay-Z, headlined the event, uniquely blending his style with the melodious Punjabi beats of “Mundian To Bach Ke”, originally crooned by Panjabi MC.

Punjabi music, well-regarded for its infectious energy and diverse rhythms, is quickly becoming a global phenomenon, echoing in every corner of the world. The internationally acclaimed Jay-Z served as an ambassador of this vibrant genre at the Louis Vuitton menswear fashion show on June 20, where he gave a stellar performance with a Punjabi twist, showcasing his appreciation for the music and artists.

As a further testament to the global reach of Punjabi music, popular singer Diljit Dosanjh recently rocked the crowd at the world-renowned Coachella festival, pushing the boundaries of this music genre beyond its traditional confines.

The event in Paris, which marked the debut of Pharrell Williams as a creative director, was graced by a constellation of stars. Beyonce, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Zendaya, J Balvin, and the dynamic duo, Jaden and Willow Smith, were among the attendees.

Jay-Z’s performance became the highlight of the afterparty, where he captivated the audience with his vibrant energy and rhythmic fusion of Punjabi music with his unique style, reaffirming the position of Punjabi music on the global stage. General Secretary of Gouripur Upazila Awami League of Mymensingh, Somnath Saha has commented that the film based on the life of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman 'Mujib: Shaper of a Nation' will be a document of history.

He made this comment while expressing his feelings after watching the movie 'Mujib Ekti Jatir Ropkar' with party leaders and workers at Priya Cinema Hall on Station Road in Gouripur city on Friday (October 20) night.

Somnath Saha said, 'Mujib is not just a movie about shaping a nation. It is the story of a teenager from Tungipara who became Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Juvenile Mujib once got involved in politics while talking about rights. He participated in language movement. Joined politics. The true history of the declaration of independence from the mass uprising, the call for the liberation war has come up in the movie.

At this time he urged people from all walks of life to come to the cinema hall and enjoy the film.

On October 13, the movie 'Mujib: the Rupkar of the Nation' was released at Priya Cinema Hall in Gouripur along with all over the country. Immediately after the liberation, the movie theaters in this town of Mofswal were crowded with spectators.

On Friday evening, under the courtesy of General Secretary of Upazila Awami League, Somnath Saha, five hundred people including party leaders, freedom fighters, students and common people sat together and enjoyed a movie at Priya cinema hall.

Masud Karim, Managing Director of Priya Cinema Hall, said that Mujib is a nation-shaping film and is getting response from the audience after the screening. Five hundred people enjoyed Awami League leader Somnath Dada's Friday evening show.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the premiere show of the movie 'Mujib: Ekti Jatir Rupakarr’, a biopic on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

On Thursday (October 12) at 10 am, she announced the opening by attending the premiere show of the film at Agargaon Bangladesh Film Archive in the capital.

Minister of Information and Broadcasting Dr.Hassan Mahmud, actress Dilara Zaman, actor Arifin Shuvo, Nusrat Faria among others were present at that time.

The movie 'Mujib: Ekti Jatir Rupakar' based on the biography of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be released tomorrow Friday in 153 cinema halls across the country while in neighboring country India it will be released on October 27.

The film is a joint production of Bangladesh and India and is directed by famous Indian director Shyam Benegal. Bangladeshi actor Arifin Shubo played the role of Bangabandhu. Nusrat Imroz Tisha as Fazilatun Nesha Mujib, Nusrat Faria as Sheikh Hasina, Riyaz Ahmed as Tajuddin Ahmed. Dilara Zaman, Chanchal Chowdhury, Siam Ahmed, Zayed Khan, Khairul Alam Sabuj, Ferdous Ahmed, Dighi, Raisul Islam Asad, Gazi Rakayet, Taukir Ahmed, Misha Saudagar and more than a hundred popular artists of the country acted in other roles.
