He said this as the chief guest at a ‘Friendship Rally’ organized by the former and current members of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, Dhaka Metropolitan North, at the Sea Shell Resort in Purbachal, the capital, on Friday (November 29).

Dhaka: The general student community has demanded an end to the Israeli aggression, including indescribable torture on the oppressed Palestinian citizens. At the same time, a rally with the Palestinian flag has been organized under the 'March for Palestine' on the occasion of the International Palestine Solidarity Day.

Hasibur, a second-year student of Dhaka University, said that the level of oppression that Israel has been perpetrating on the innocent Palestinians since its creation has increased further. We express our solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian citizens to end this oppression. May the indescribable torture on the oppressed Palestinian citizens stop as soon as possible and the Israeli aggression stop.

Fahim said, we have organized the 'March for Palestine' rally on the occasion of the International Palestine Solidarity Day. We have organized the rally to demand an end to the torture on the oppressed Palestinian citizens in memory of the martyrs of July, just as Palestine inspired the July movement.

Dhaka: The United Arab Emirates government has pardoned and released 75 more expatriates detained in the UAE for holding marches and protests against the killing and oppression of student protesters in Bangladesh in July-August.

This was announced in a press release sent by M. Shefayet Hossain, Information Officer of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, on Friday (November 29).

It said that the country has released a total of 188 people under general amnesty so far, including the 75 newly released people.

Earlier, in a briefing on September 3, the Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said that the President of the United Arab Emirates spoke to the Chief Adviser on the telephone on August 28. It is worth noting that a court in the United Arab Emirates sentenced 57 Bangladeshis to various terms of imprisonment for protesting in solidarity with the quota reform movement. Three of them were sentenced to life imprisonment, 53 to 10 years and one to 11 years.

Earlier, on Thursday (November 28) morning, the country's lowest temperature was recorded in Tentulia at 12.2 degrees Celsius. For the past few days, the temperature has been fluctuating between 12-13 degrees Celsius. It has been quite cold.
