India attaches top priority in its relation with Bangladesh

From New Delhi: Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has said that India attaches ‘top priority’ in its relation with Bangladesh.

Before the summit meeting between the two Prime Ministers S. Jaishankar called on the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her hotel suit at Tajmahal on Saturday morning(Oct.5).

 “Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s highest priority to its relations with Bangladesh,” said Indian External Affairs Ministry spokes person Raveesh Kumar in a Tweet message after the meeting.

Quoting Jaishankar, Raveesh Kumar said the Indian External Affairs Minister had a very warm and fruitful conversation with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen, Foreign Affairs Adviser to Prime Minister Dr. Gawher Rizvi, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam and Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali were present during the meeting.

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das and Senior Indian External Affairs Ministry accompanied Dr. Jaishankar at the meeting.
