Heat flux is sweeping across the country
Heat wave is sweeping over different regions of the country in the last 12 days. On Tuesday (April 7), the heat flux has further increased.
On the other hand cold weather was prevailing for some days due to thunderstorms and rainfalls in different parts of the country including the capital. However, temperatures started to rise again last Monday (April 6). Public life in heat has become discomforting.
The weather office said temperatures may go up to 39 degrees Celsius over the next few days. The heat flux that is flowing over the country can spread slowly. In addition, there may be rains or thunderstorms in different parts of the country on next Thursday (April 9). At this time the temperature might drop slightly.
On Tuesday (April 7) morning, there was cold weather in the capital. As sun goes up high the intensity of the sun increased. Heat also increased. Hot air is blowing at 6 to 12 kph in Dhaka.
The maximum temperature was recorded at Chuadanga at 39.2 degrees Celsius on this day and the lowest temperature in Tetulia was 17.2 degrees Celsius. Last Monday, the maximum temperature in Jessore was 38.2 degrees Celsius and the lowest temperature in Tetulia was 15.6 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Tuesday said moderate heat wave will sweep over Faridpur, Jessore Chuadanga, Kumarakhali, Rajshahi and Pabna areas. At the same time, mild heat will flow over Dhaka, Tangail, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Nikli, Rangamati, Bogra, Naogaon, Sirajganj, Syedpur, Khulna, Bagerhat and Satkhira regions, including Barisal and Sylhet divisions.
Meanwhile, the weather may be dry with partly cloudy sky. However, in both Cumilla and Noakhali regions, Khulna and Barisal divisions are likely to occur rain with storm or thunderstorms.
