Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, we want to give some cash financial assistance before Eid to those who have no way to earn due to corona. At least during Eid-ul-Fitr, they should get some support. We will make that arrangement.

On Monday (May 4) at 11 am, the Prime Minister spoke to the Deputy Commissioners and local people's representatives of Rangpur division via video conference from the official residence Gonobhaban. At this time she said these things.

She said that due to this invisible virus, economic stagnation has come down in our country like many other countries in the world. We want to give some financial support before Eid to those who have become unemployed due to this virus, so that food security is ensured. Many have come forward in the private sector as well as in providing relief from the government. Many of our elected representatives, MPs are cooperating.

She added that one should always use a mask to protect oneself and others. I have instructed the shops to be open and open so that they can shop during the month of Ramadan. Arrangements have been made to keep the economy afloat by keeping small scale industries in each district and keeping the people safe.

Earlier, Sheikh Hasina exchanged views with 56 districts of Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Barisal and Mymensingh divisions in a six-phase separate video conference on the coronavirus situation.

The first corona patient was detected on last March 8 in the country. So far, 177 people have died and 9,455 have been infected with the virus.
