Awami League presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak said, "If you want to develop the infrastructure and socio-economic development of your area, vote for boat because development of the country is not possible without boat. So you come under the banner of the boat and become a partner in the development of the country. Don't listen to rumors and trust Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's boat symbol.”
He said this while addressing a street rally in connection with Chapainawabganj Pourashava elections to be held on November 30. He was speaking as the chief guest at the street rally organized by Chapainawabganj Poura Awami League held at Chapainawabganj Poura Park on Friday (November 26) afternoon. The rally was held in support of Mokhlesur Rahman, a candidate of the boat symbol in the Chapainawabganj Pourashava election.
Addressing the rebels of the boat symbol, Jahangir Kabir Nanak said, "Those who have betrayed and disrespected Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina are not needed in the Awami League. If he could not trust the Prime Minister, then the party will not trust him in future. They will have no place in the party in the future. There is a price to be paid for opposing the boat symbol. "
He further said that where the boat won all over the country, the boat do bad in Chapainawabganj. Out-of-boat people have won JS seats, Upazilas and Pourshavas. Start the victory of the boat by voting for the boat symbol in the Chapainawabganj Pourashava election to be held on November 30. If the boat wins, the picture of development in the district town will change. He called upon all the leaders and workers present to work tirelessly for the gift of victory of the boat to the Prime Minister.
Highlighting various development activities in Chapainawabganj during the Awami League government, former minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak said the Prime Minister had personally inaugurated the 'Sheikh Hasina Bridge' to connect the district town with six unions in Diar area of Sadar upazila. Even the bridge has been made toll free thinking of the people. The Prime Minister has gifted a 250-bed hospital for the treatment of the people of the district. District Youth Training Center has been set up to create employment for the youth. Work on the country's largest rubber dam project has started at a cost of Tk. 200 crore. He remarked that no one could do any development work except the Awami League government.
