Dhaka: The United States has announced that it will send more troops and bombers to the Middle East to confront Iran.
On Friday (November 1), Pentagon spokesman Major General Pat Ryder gave this information, citing Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. News AP.
Pat Ryder said, "After the US Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group leaves the Middle East, more troops and bombers will be sent there. If Iran and its allies target Americans or this region, they will not be spared. The United States will take all necessary measures to protect its people. The troops will be sent starting next month."
However, he did not specify how many troops will be sent to the region with the change. There are currently 43,000 US troops in the region.
Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that more warplanes and naval ships have been ordered to maintain the US presence in the Middle East. These include ballistic missile defense destroyers and long-range B-52 bombers which will be able to confront Iran.
Earlier, on October 22, Lloyd Austin announced the deployment of the US-made advanced missile defense system 'THAAD' (THAAD) in Israel. The US is providing 'THAAD' to protect Israel from Iranian missile attacks.
