Trump strongly condemns violence against minorities in Bangladesh
US presidential candidate Donald Trump has strongly condemned the attacks on Hindus, Christians and other minorities in Bangladesh. He made this condemnation in a post on micro-blogging site X on Thursday (October 31) local time.
In that post, US presidential candidate Donald Trump strongly criticized Bangladesh, claiming that religious minorities are being persecuted. He even mentioned that Bangladesh is currently in a complete state of chaos.
Trump wrote in a tweet, "I strongly condemn the barbaric violence against Hindus, Christians and other minorities in Bangladesh. They are being attacked and looted in groups in the country. Bangladesh is now in a complete state of chaos."
Stating that this has never happened in his time, Trump wrote, "Kamala and Joe (President Joe Biden) have been ignoring Hindus around the world and in America. They have been a disaster for the region from Israel to Ukraine and from there to our southern border. There we will make America strong again and with that strength we will bring peace back.’
Trump has also promised to protect Hindus in the United States from religious hatred. He said, ‘We will fight for your freedom. During my administration, we will strengthen our greater partnership with India and my good friend Prime Minister Modi.’
In a tweet on behalf of minorities just four days before the election, Trump also wrote, ‘Kamala Harris will destroy your small businesses by imposing more restrictions and raising taxes. On the other hand, I will reduce taxes and regulations and develop the strength of America to create the strongest economy in history. We will do it again. It will be bigger and better than ever before. And we will make America great again.’
Finally, Donald Trump wished Hindus a happy Diwali. He said, ‘I hope this festival of lights will drive out evil and bring about the triumph of good.’
