Dhaka: Border killings mostly occur in the Indian part as miscreants attacked security forces. However, the killing of all the borders is sad, it must be stopped, said Vikram K, Doraiswamy the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh.
He made the remarks at a dialogue titled "50 Years of Bangladesh-India Partnership: Towards the Next 50 Years" organized by the Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) on Wednesday (December 1).
He said that if border hats, trade and commerce increase, border crime will decrease. At present, more imports and exports are made through Benapole. There is an opportunity to increase trade by water and rail.
