Cox's Bazar Express' leaves Dhaka

The dream of going to Cox's Bazar by train has been fulfilled. On Friday (December 1) at 10:55 PM, the 'Cox's Bazar Express' train left Kamalapur Railway Station for the first time for Cox's Bazar with 1010 passengers.

Most of the people going to Cox's Bazar were tourists. Many people are seen going to Cox's Bazar with their family and friends to take part in this history.

Railway Ministry Director General Kamrul Hasan welcomed the passengers of this train with flowers and chocolates.

The 'Cox's Bazar Express' train arrived at the capital's Kamalapur railway station at 9:39 pm on Friday.

Earlier, at 12:40 PM, the 'Cox's Bazar Express' train left Cox's Bazar for Dhaka for the first time. Later, the train started again from Dhaka’s Kamalapur station for Cox's Bazar at 10:30 PM.

The sale of new train tickets started online as well as over the counter from 8 am on Thursday, November 23. At 9:55 a.m. at the counter, it was reported that all the seats had been sold in advance. Advance tickets for December 1, 2 and 3 were sold on that day.

Earlier, Bangladesh Railway published the new schedule of this train on Dhaka Cox's Bazar route. In a circular signed by ACOPS Mohammad Abu Bakkar Siddiqui of Bangladesh Railway (Eastern Zone), it is said that the train named 'Cox's Bazar Express' will run on Dhaka-Cox's Bazar-Dhaka route. The number of the train is 813/814. It will have 780 seats. The 16/32 load train will be closed from Dhaka on Monday and from Cox's Bazar on Tuesday.

'Cox's Bazar Express' is scheduled to leave Dhaka at 10:55 PM and reach Cox's Bazar at 6:40 AM with stops at Dhaka Airport and Chattogram Station.

It should be noted that on the morning of November 11, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 102 km railway from Dohazari in Chattogram to Cox's Bazar via Ramu. Through this, Cox's Bazar became the 48th district of Bangladesh Railway Network after about 13 and half years of project approval.
