Several more people are going to join the current cabinet led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The swearing-in ceremony for new ministers will be held at Bangabhaban on Friday (March 1) at 7:30 pm.

This information was revealed by a related high-level source including a member of the cabinet.

Awami League formed the government for the fourth time in a row under the leadership of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina on January 11 after winning the 12th Jatiya Sangsad election held on January 7. On that day, 37 ministers and state ministers took oath, including the Prime Minister.

Since then, discussions are going on that the size of the cabinet will increase after the election of MPs from reserved women's seats. A few days ago, General Secretary of the ruling Awami League, Obaidul Quader, said that the scope of the current cabinet may increase after the election of reserved seats for women.

50 Members of Parliament elected unopposed reserved seats for women took oath last Wednesday. After that, the issue of cabinet expansion came up again.

It is learnt that one full minister, four state ministers and three deputy ministers can join the cabinet. Though who this new face is yet to be confirmed. However, it is also known that the Cabinet Division has made preliminary preparations for their assumption of responsibility.
