Asaduzzaman Noor and Mahbub Ali sent to Jail

In the case of murder of hotel employee Siam Sarder under Mirpur Model Police Station of the capital the court ordered former minister Asaduzzaman Noor and former civil aviation and tourism state minister Advocate Mahbub Ali to be sent to jail.

On Monday (September 16), the investigating officer of the case, Mirpur Model Police Station Sub-Inspector Abdur Rahman presented them in court and requested to keep them in jail.

At this time, their lawyers applied for bail. After the hearing, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mosharraf Hossain rejected their bail application and ordered to send them to jail.

Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) arrested Asaduzzaman Noor from Naouratan Colony on Bailey Road at 11 pm on September 15.

And former State Aviation Minister Mahbub Ali was arrested from Segunbagicha by the detective police.

According to the complaint, the leaders and activists of Awami League and its affiliated organizations shot indiscriminately on the orders of former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal in front of Abu Taleb School in Mirpur-10 at around 11 pm on July 18. At that time, the deceased Siam Sardar was returning home after working at the hotel. Then Siam died after being shot. In that incident, the father of the deceased Sohag Sardar filed a case in the name of 114 people as plaintiff. Accused number 8 of this case is Asaduzzaman Noor and Mahbub Ali is involved in the incident, according to reliable sources.

Other notable accused in the case include former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, former DB chief Haroon Or Rashid, Monir Hossain, Jubo League general secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, Kamal Ahmed Majumdar.
