Dhaka: Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, said that Awami League will not be given a chance to do politics without facing trial.
He said this at a seminar titled 'Non-discrimination Armed Forces: Necessary Framework for Building Bangladesh 2.0' at Rawa Convention Center in the capital on Saturday (October 5) afternoon.
Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah said that until Awami League apologizes and faces trial for their misdeeds, they will not be given a chance to do politics.
Coordinator Sarjis Alam said that action should be taken against the fascists. This government must take action against those who have directly and indirectly supported Awami League.
Former military officers who were victims of political discrimination in the seminar highlighted the importance of creating a non-discriminatory and professional military.
At that time, a commission was formed to stop the military's political interference and a 3-point demand was presented including the reform of the military law.
